Teani will compose the opera Maximilian
From the Austrian Festival in Erl has come a great piece of news for the musical environment of Lucca. The young composer Stefano Teani (pictured), graduated will full marks in piano and composition at Boccherini institute, has been chosen to compose the opera Maximilian together with Beomseok Yi, conductor and head of musical department of Accademia di Montegral at Convento dell’Angelo of Ponte a Moriano. The opera will be premiered on January 3 at 6
p.m. in the beautiful Festspielehaus in Erl, it came out from the idea of Maestro Gustav Kuhn and has been written by the two musicians of the Accademia di Montegral, where Teani is repetiteur. A sort of 4 hands composition on libretto by Robert Prosser, talking about the story of Maximilian I from Habsburg, second habsburg emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, spendthrift, art and women lover; this year we celebrate 500 years from his death. To these premiere will take part also the Vocal Ensemble also from Lucca Stereo-Tipi, conducted by Lia Salotti, the director will be Charlotte Leitner, with choir and orchestra of the Tiroler Festspiele, conducted by Beomseok Yi.
After just one year from his composition graduation, Teani, member and technical director of Cluster association, succeeded to obtain the privilege to have his name on the poster of an international, high level festival. The premiere is on January 3, that’s also his 25th birthday. Many wishes from the editorial board.
