Stefano Teani is the new artistic director. There will also be a grand gala dedicated to Callas<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n The\u00a02023 concert season\u00a0of the\u00a0Animando music promotion center begins with great news, which has appointed an artistic director for the first time, Stefano Teani.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n “We chose Teani – says the president Paolo Citti -, a young excellence from Lucca trained at the Boccherini Institute and already known in the area for his activity as a pianist, composer and conductor”. At the age of just 22, he was chosen by\u00a0Riccardo Muti\u00a0for his\u00a0Italian Opera Academy\u00a0and is composer in residence at Gustav Kuhn’s Montegral Academy (of which he is also assistant). He works steadily at the\u00a0<\/span>Tiroler Festspiele Erl in Austria<\/span>\u00a0as a collaborator and assistant conductor and, in 2020, he founded the Orchestra Sinfonica della Versilia. He is the author of the book\u00a0L’Epoca dell’Essere, la musica del mondo nuovo – Felici Editore, he is also a passionate popularizer, as can be seen from his successful podcast Ginger Classics – Aperitivi Musicali.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n The young director has chosen an important artistic anniversary of the year of 2023 to “trace the course” of the season:\u00a0the 50th anniversary of the death of Pablo Picasso. This is how maestro Teani explains the leitmotif of the season: “I have chosen an emblematic motto for the 2023 season: ‘shake off the dust’, taken from a famous phrase by Picasso: ‘Art shakes off the soul from the dust accumulated in the life of everyday’. To do this, not only does Animando\u00a0offer less ordinary concerts than usual\u00a0(both for the choice of programs and for the instruments and artists involved) but above all it aims to create a network of quality collaborations”.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n As is well known, Picasso went through three distinct creative periods: the\u00a0blue period, the pink period and then arrived at the famous Cubism. Similarly, the events scheduled for the 2023 season will be divided into three parts: Animando Blu (from January to April), Animando Rosa (from May to August) Animando al Cubo (from September to December).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \n<\/div>\n The\u00a0first period will include more intimate, chamber-style and more reflective events. The second will include\u00a0concerts with orchestra and new, fresh, dissemination and entertainment formats. The biggest surprises are reserved for the latter, with events located in non-ordinary, suggestive places and more eclectic and unexpected programming. To underline in the months of June and August, the sparkling Musical Aperitifs, a completely stimulating musical proposal for summer evenings. Don’t miss the grand opera gala in memory of Maria Callas which will take place on Saturday 23 September at 6 pm at the Convento dell’Angelo in Ponte a Moriano.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n The first appointment of the Animando season will be held on Saturday (February 11) at 5 pm at the Real Collegio in Lucca with the dance show Remember to Live, Carnival Edition.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n The Animando Blu program continues on Saturday 11 March at 5 pm with Waiting for How I met Puccini with Valentina Ciardelli (double bass), Anna Astesano (harp) at the Agor\u00e0 Library. In April, the first appointment is from 1 to 6 pm with the event entitled\u00a0Anonymous in love, 700 Afghan and Lucchese in comparison\u00a0with\u00a0Mashal Arman (Mezzo-soprano), Orestis Kalampalikis (Guitar) and will be held at the Real Collegio. On Friday 7 April at 5 pm, the concert for Good Friday\u00a0with the\u00a0StereoTipi polyphonic choir is scheduled at the\u00a0Church of Santa Maria Bianca.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n The\u00a0Animando Rosa\u00a0show opens on Sunday (May 14) at 6 pm with\u00a0Brahms’ Nineteenth Century in the footsteps of Viotti’s Eighteenth Century\u00a0with\u00a0Laura Bortolotto (Violin), Christian Joseph Saccon (Violin), Orchestra Nuove\u00a0Assonanze, conductor Alan Freiles, at the Chiesa dei Serve. It continues on Sunday 4 June, at 9 pm, with\u00a0Mozart and Boccherini – So close, so far\u00a0with\u00a0Remo Pieri\u00a0(clarinet), New Assonanze Orchestra, conductor: Grigor Palikarov, Chiesa dei Servi. On Sunday 18 June, again at 9 pm in the same location, the program\u00a0Da Bach a Pergolesi: religion and theater in the eighteenth century\u00a0with the Ensemble Animando, Christian Sebastianutto (violin) and conductor: Gianmaria Griglio. On Wednesday 21 June at 8 pm appointment with\u00a0The musical aperitifs of Ginger Classics\u00a0– Meeting with artists, followed by\u00a0at 9.15 pm\u00a0The masterpieces of early twentieth-century songwriting\u00a0with\u00a0Camilla Less\u00a0Quartet at the Real Collegio. Friday 30 at 8 pm new appointment with\u00a0<\/span>Ginger Classics musical aperitifs<\/span>\u00a0– Meeting with the artists followed by\u00a0at 9.15 pm\u00a0\u00a0Modugno, Fred and surroundings\u00a0with\u00a0Nicola Pecci at the Real Collegio. Saturday 15 July at 8 pm new meeting with musical aperitifs followed at 9.15 pm by\u00a0Why not, Lucio Battisti! with\u00a0Marco Cattani, also at the Real Collegio. Friday 28 July\u00a0Betti Award\u00a0in\u00a0Bagni di Lucca, in the Town Hall Garden.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Animando al Cubo\u00a0on the other hand will take place between next September and October. It begins on September 1 at 5 pm with the concert for electric violin and loop station with\u00a0Francesco Carmignani at the\u00a0Lucar Toyota dealership.
