15TH CONCERT OF THE EPIPHANY IN THE AUDITORIUM OF TEATRO SAN GIROLAMO IN LUCCA

On Friday January 6th, in the Auditorium of Teatro San Girolamo in Lucca, the 15th edition of the Concerto dell’Epifania will take place, a very awaited appointment for those who love music.

The concerto will start at 5 p.m. and will be, as usual, free offer.

There will be pieces from Elgar, Mahler, Puccini, Sibelius, Benedetti A., Catalani, Frega S. and Mascagni, performer by the Orchestra Sinfonica della Versilia conducted by Stefano Teani, young and “virtuoso” conductor, pianist and composer from Lucca. Debora Pioli will introduce the show.

The concert, organized by the Masonic Lodge Francesco Burlamacchi n. 1113 of Grande Oriente d’Italia, aims to raise funds to be given to the A.n.f.f.a.s. of Lucca.

This is the path chosen by the Francesco Burlamacchi Lodge, that opened the Masonic Temple of Lucca on September 30th 2017, that gave a biennial scholarship for a student of the Istituto Superiore di Studi Musicali “L. Boccherini” in the years 2017-2018 and 2019-2020. Also, it restored the Francesco Burlamacchi statue, inaugurate on October 27th 2018 and by organizing the Historical Trial to Francesco Burlamacchi hold on November 25th 2018 by coining a celebrative coin.

All this work aims to show the thought and Philosophy of Freemasonry and also to spread the principles of freedom, tolerance and human solidarity.

Many people still don’t know that many Associations are part of the Grande Oriente d’ltalia, such as the Associazione Asili Notturni in Torino, founded in 1886, that every night gives a hot meal and a bed for homeless; also the help offered by the Loggia Ausonia still in Torino, for parents of children affected by cancer that are not able to pay for Hotels or housing; there’s also the Associazione Happy baby which offers help for adoption and the official inauguration on December 8th 2017 of the lighting system of the soccer field donated by the Grande Oriente d’Italia, realizing the wish of children that asked for it to keep on practicing sports in an environment severely affected bu the earthquake.

Our wish is that this step, already supported in our city in the previous editions, could always be a mean of encounter and mutual solidarity.
